Safe Eraser for iOS Mac - User Guide (Mac)



Launch the SafeEraser for Mac


Firstly you need to download, install and then run the SafeEraser for Mac on your iMac, MacBook Pro or MacBook Air.
You need to use the USB cable for connecting your iDevice with your Mac. It detects your device automatically.



CLEAR JUNK FILES


Step 1. You then need click on the “Express Cleanup” from the left sidebar. At the right side of you can see the days that have passed since the last time you cleaned your device and the space was reclaimed.



Step 2. Then you need to click on the “Start” button at the bottom right for scanning your device for junk files. After scanning process is completed, then you will get total amount of junk files displayed.


You then need to click on the number to check out the details of each type of junk files respectively.


Step 3. Then you need to check the unwanted junk file types and click “Erase now” for clearing junk files from your iDevice. After then you will get a new pop-up window that displays all the cleanup results.



ERASE PRIVATE DATA


Step 1. Firstly you need to click on the “Erase Private Data” from the left sidebar. On the right hand side of the window you can see what kinds of files can be erased.


Step 2. Then you need to click on the “Start” button to analyze and scan the private data that are present on your iDevice.


Step 3. After the scanning is completed, a list of all the private data will be listed in front of you. You can check them by viewing their details.


Step 4. Then you need to check the unwanted data and click on the “Erase Now”. It will prompt a message with the word “Delete” which is meant for the confirmation of the deletion.



ERASE DELETED FILES


Step 1. Firstly you need to click on the “Erase Deleted Files” from the left sidebar.


Step 2. Then you need to click on the “Start” button to scan for the deleted files.


After the scanning process is finished, you can see all your deleted files which are sorted category wise. Then you need to check the corresponding file type to see the details.


Step 3. Then you need to check for the files that you want to remove permanently from your device and by clicking on the “Erase Now” you can do so. It will then prompt you to type the word “delete” to confirm the deletion process.


Note: During the deletion process the deleted files which you have backed up to your iTunes will also get erased, which ensures that your data is unrecoverable via iTunes in the future.



ERASE ALL DATA


Step 1. Firstly you need to click on the “Erase All Data” which is present at the left side column. Where you need to type “Delete” in the box for confirming the deletion process and click the “Start” button.


Step 2. Then you will see a window where you can see the deletion process. This will remove all your data from your iDevice.


Step 3. Once the deletion process gets completed, the program window will look like the screenshot as shown below.
