iOS LINE Backup & Restore now allows you to backup and restore LINE app chat data directly to computer that actually makes it very easy for users to backup, export and print LINE Chat history on computer, and also with selectively restore the backup LINE Chat data option to the iOS device.

Part I: Backup LINE Data on iPhone/iPad

Step 1: Connect your iPhone/iPad to computer

At first, you are required to launch the iOS Data Backup & Restore on your computer and then select “Backup & Restore” from the available option. Now connect your iPhone/iPad to your computer.


Once your iOS device gets connected, click on “Social App Data Backup & Restore” tab and then click on “iOS LINE Backup & Restore”.



Step 2: Backup your LINE data

Click "Backup" to start the LINE App data backup process.



When the backup process gets complete, you can click on "View it" in order to preview your LINE backup files. If you have earlier used this tool for backing up LINE data, then you can also click on “To view the previous backup file>>” to see the previous LINE Data backup history.




Part 2: Restore or Export LINE Backup

Step 1: View your LINE backup files

In order to check the content of LINE backup files, you can simply click on "To view the previous backup file >>" on the first screen.



Step 2: Extract your LINE backup file

Here you can see the list of LINE backup files, choose the one you want and tap on "View" and then click on “Next” button. This will start the scanning process.



Step 3: Preview and restore or export LINE backup

Once the scanning process completes, you can restore LINE backup to your device.



But in order to restore LINE chats to your device, you have to first TURN OFF “Find My iPhone” via iCloud on device Settings.



Note: Currently, iOS Data Backup & Restore allows you restore or export the complete data or selectively. But for LINE attachments, it only support to export them to PC, not restore them to device yet..
